The beautiful Phytonutrients

One of my latest favorites in the medical world is Dr. Sherry Rogers. I got to read her some articles by Peter Wilhelmsson who has known her for the past 30 years.

In April, she published an article about the power of nature packaged in plants and known to us mortals as food. It's so well written that I could not help but share it here:

I feel frustrated when I am surrounded by people who are completely unaware if they have more control over their health than any doctor in the world. Not when I read my molecular biochemistry journals and see how amazing scientists must be 10 times more frustrated. For example. An article in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry was placed at the back of the publication. I have no idea how many actually read but it seemed much less understood was it. But here I'm making sure you do. Want to know what it was all about?

Phytonutrient Luteolin.

Healing food

What is Luteolin? It is a flavonoid with 4 (stable) hydroxyl groups. Do not let these terms bore you, because this is one of the many important nutrients found in many of the herbs and other raw materials. The exciting thing is that flavonoids do what no human has ever accomplished with drugs. Read carefully here and preferably 2 times:

Flavonoids re-program the gene that controls brain degradation. And if that was not important enough, they also reprogram the genes that create the inflammation that leads to all cardiovascular diseases, cancer and more.

No doctor, no medication and especially no CRISPR gene therapy can achieve this. But YOU have complete control over it.

Let me make sure that you at least partially understand the significance of this. You will remember that all diseases start with inflammation. This is the body's way of trying to get rid of infections, toxins and mainly those that do not belong there such as. a wood chip. For example, atherosclerotic plaque is not what the ignorant want you to think, that is, an overproduction of cholesterol. Because high cholesterol is the body's compensation mechanism for getting rid of heavy metals and other xenobiotics (all common and unavoidable chemicals in our daily environments) that swim in the blood. These try to point holes in cell membranes by stealing electrons, and destroying your cells. Because you are deficient in protective nutrients, the levels of cholesterol and other lipids rise in an attempt to protect you by clogging these holes. In other words, cholesterol is a patch with compensatory and protective effects. Anti Cholesterol Medications Risk Killing The Messenger!

As you learned in " The Cholesterol Hoax"Lipid (cholesterol) is a messenger that plasters to prevent you from bleeding to death. But LUTEOLIN can do all this and more. Luteolin not only protects against excess free radicals that create lipids and plaques, but has several other protective biochemical mechanisms. It literally stops the deterioration of vessel walls, stops more plaque and any blood clots. It increases vasodilating nitric oxide while reducing free radicals and even protects the vulnerable memory sections of the brain, the hippocampus. And for those of you readers who have found in our consultation that your gene marker for cancer (8-OHdG) is elevated, luteolin can be a powerful factor in bringing it down to normal. Luteolin repairs genes! There are many more informative details about it but you should not have to become a cell biologist.

So how do you strengthen yourself? First of all, knowing that the highest levels are found in parsley, celery, sage, thyme, oregano, rosemary, mint, tea, artichoke and EVOO (Extra virgin olive oil). Grow these herbs either in pots on a balcony or window sill or at the back door, or as I do in my herb garden! And more importantly, how many ways can you think of to integrate these into your daily diets? How important is it not the cruciferous vegetables to turn off all disease by alternating the detoxification of everyday chemicals? How many cruciferous herbs like coriander and arugula can you include in dishes?

Cooking with many herbs is just one part of the French paradox, which only unsuspecting scientists can figure out. They like to blame the wine. But as you already know, French health is much more superior to the health of Americans and that is due to the fact that they do not allow many of the FDA-approved 7-M foods in their diets. As an example, remember that the levels of glyphosate (the metabolite of Roundup, herbicide on GMO corn and soy, as well as the use on wheat and other products) are 6 times higher in the blood of Americans against the blood of Europeans.

So try some parsley and thyme in your eggs in the morning, put salmon salad or hummus in celery boats for lunch and make a number of different tastings with several herbs / fresh garlic / VSOP white balsamic vinaigrette dressings and sauces for vegetables, soups, and salads. Grind the parsley in your smoothies. There are a lot of cookbooks giving you ideas. So, when preparing a meal, just sing a little of the old song to yourself to remind yourself to add ………….
